Interestingly, some stars chose not to hire doubles despite terrifying action scenes.

These 5 Korean celebrities showed dedication to their roles and performed their own action stunts.

Han So Hee

From her breakthrough character in "The World of the Married," Han So Hee flourished and has now become among the in-demand female leads. She starred in "Nevertheless" alongside Song Kang and "Soundtrack #1" with Park Hyung Sik.

On the other hand, Han So Hee stepped up her A-game and headlined an action crime Kdrama.

Netflix's "My Name" stars the 27-year-old actress, with Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Hee Soon. The eight-episode series follows the story of a revenge-driven woman who chose to have her new identity to avenge her father's brutal death.

In her previous interview, she said she did some of her stunts and trained for almost four months before the production. Han So Hee told the outlet that she is unfamiliar with physical training, so she would practice a lot and devote her time to training.

Despite "My Name" being her first action-centered role, viewers lauded how she managed to ace her combat skills for the series.

Wi Ha Joon

After skyrocketing his fame through "Squid Game," Wi Ha Joon was casted as one of the lead stars in "Bad and Crazy," opposite Hallyu star Lee Dong Wook.

The "Goblin" star revealed a surprising thing that Wi Ha Joon did for the drama. As reported by Harper's Bazaar Singapore, Lee Dong Wook shared that the rising star "volunteered" to do his own action stunts.

He said they had body doubles who could do some of the action scenes for them, "but Ha Joon volunteered to do a lot of the scenes himself, so I thought he was amazing," the actor said.

Wi Ha Joon successfully executed his action stunts with his signature leather jacket, playing K.

One of Lee Seung Gi's remarkable Kdrama was the action-crime series "Vagabond" with Bae Suzy.

Aside from his chemistry with the singer-actress, South Korea's triple-threat also impressed viewers when he performed his own stunts.

According to a report, for his first full-fledged action drama, Lee Seung Gi jumped in front of a moving car.

One particular scenario made Jang Hyuk decide that he would do most of his scenes.

As cited by an outlet, during the actor's appearance in KBS2's "Weekly Entertainment Live," he revealed that a stuntman got hurt while filming the 1998 movie "Zzang" which is his debut on the big screen.

"After seeing that happen, I've tried to do all my action scenes myself," he said; this is also why he immersed himself in various martial arts, including boxing and even horseback riding.

Ha Ji Won

Dubbed as the "action queen" and "Korean Jolie," Ha Ji Won earned the moniker by perfectly executing her action stunts which most of it is without a double.

May it be sword fighting in "Secret Garden" or the split-kicking badass in "The King 2 Hearts," she never failed to wow viewers with her dedication to the character.
