Namgoong Min, Ahn Eun Jin to Team Up for MBC's 'Lovers'
The second half of 2022 just started, but new K-series keep coming, and familiar faces are about to make their immediate small-screen comeback.
On July 20, in a report from YTN, it was confirmed that Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin ware to lead MBC's new romantic-comedy-drama "Lovers" (working title).
Namgoong Min’s New Drama ‘One Thousand Won Lawyer’ to Air This Year
In the first news release, Namgoong Min was the first actor to be revealed to lead the series "Lovers." In addition, the male star will reunite with director Kim Sung Yong, the creative mind behind "The Veil," which was Goong Min's recent drama.
The "Beautiful Gongshim" star will portray the character of Lee Jang Hyun, a mysterious man who suddenly appeared in society. He has no interest in anything in lif, but later discovers his obsession with Yu Gil Chae.
Meanwhile, Ahn Eun Jin will play the role of Yu Gil Chae, a brave woman with a strong will to pursue life, which is the opposite of Jang Hyun Lee.
The romantic-historical drama to be led by Eun Jin and Goong Min follows the story of a man who is confident in everything and falls in love after unexpectedly meeting the woman of his dreams.

In addition, the drama's production has yet to announce other details for their filming as there might have been changes in plans.

Besides MBC's soon-to-released drama "Lovers" starring Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin, the two lead stars still have solo projects to work on.
Namgoong Min, an in-demand actor in the K-drama scene, is currently filming his legal series "One Thousand Won Lawyer." His series is expected to be released this year. Meanwhile, Ahn Eun Jin appeared in several popular dramas, such as "Hospital Playlist," "The Witch's Diner," "The One and Only," and more.

Ahn Eun Jin is also confirmed for her next entertainment appearance in Netflix's original series, "Goodbye Earth." She will work alongside award-winning actor Yoo Ah In and K-drama stars Kim Yoo Hye and Jeon Sung Woo.
