tvN Confirms Cast Lineup for 'Lady'
According to a report, the broadcast network announced the cast lineup for the new drama series, "Lady."
Joining Lee Ji Ah as lead stars are Lee Sang Yoon, Jang Hee Jin, Park Ki Woong, and Bong Tae Gyu, who took the role of Assemblyman Lee Gyu Jin in the makjang trilogy.
Helmed by "One the Woman'' director Choi Young Hoon and penned by "The Last Empress" and "The Penthouse" writer Kim Soon Ok, the upcoming K-drama follows the story of a woman who has to be the first lady to protect her family.
In her K-drama comeback, Lee Ji Ah transforms into a first lady hopeful, Hong Tae Ra, as her husband runs for the highest rank in South Korea.
Behind her glamorous and almost perfect life, Hong Tae Ra has no memory of her past that made her question her existence.
"Lady" will also showcase her fierce survival and revenge to become one of the most influential women in the country.
Lee Ji Ah is teaming up with Lee Sang Yoon, who plays her husband, Pyo Jae Hyun.
Known as a genius developer, his gentle leadership and sensible personality made him the perfect candidate for South Korea's president.

Meanwhile, viewers could expect a little fun and excitement through Bong Tae Gyu's character as he plays Koo Sung Chan, the head of the research center of Haechi.
Following the confirmation of the cast, "Lady" is slated to premiere in 2023.
In the same report, the production team hints at what the viewers would expect in the upcoming K-drama.
"It will be an exhilarating picture of her wrath to punish her people who have plunged her own life into a pit and her struggle to protect her family."

tvN's "Lady" will be Lee Ji Ah's return to the small screen after playing the dual role of Shim Soo Ryun and Na Ae Gyo in the smash hit K-drama "The Penthouse" that runs in three seasons.
Besides the upcoming series, the 43-year-old beauty also joined the variety show "We Don't Bite: Villains in the Countryside," which stars her "The Penthouse" co-stars.
The adventure travel TV show stars "The Penthouse" trio Uhm Ki Joon, Bong Tae Gyu, and Yoon Jong Hoon, who spent their vacation exploring the quiet place in the countryside.
Familiar faces such as Kim Dae Young, Han Ji Hyun, Kim So Yeon, Kim Hyun Soo, and Eugene also guested the reality tv show.
As for Bong Tae Gyu, he appeared in Yoon Jong Hoon's drama "Shooting Stars" alongside Uhm Ki Joon and played Star Universe CEO Sung Woo Joo.
