Ji Sung Reveals Why It's Challenging to Play Dual Role in ‘Adamas’
Ji Sung admits that playing twins in "Adamas" is "not easy" as it looks.
The tvN weekday series is the latest thriller mystery K-drama that follows the story of identical twins Ha Woo Shin, a famous novel writer, and the feisty prosecutor Song Soo Hyun.
In the 16-part episode series, the duo's mission is to uncover the truth behind their father's death. Since the crime happened 22 years ago, Woo Shin wants to re-open the case by finding the murder weapon which he believes is the Adamas, owned by the influential Chairman, Mr. Kwon of Haesong Group.
As for his twin, he has teamed up with the police together with journalist Kim Seo Hee, played by Lee Soo Kyung to find out the hitman who killed their father.
Viewers also get to see "Crash Landing on You" star Seo Ji Hye as Chairman Kwon's daughter-in-law, Eun Hye Soo, and "Squid Game" villain Heo Sung Tae as Haesong Mansion's General manager of security Choi Tae Sung and undercover agent.
Ji Sung's Agency Releases Actor's Behind-the-Scenes in 'Adamas'
Surpass Entertainment, Ji Sung's agency unveils a series of behind-the-scenes features of the actor on the set of "Adamas."
In a series of photos, it can be seen that the award-winning star is totally immersed in his role.
"Wooshin and Soohyun who don't miss the script, "the caption reads, showing the actor reviewing his lines.
Ji Sung on Playing Dual Character in 'Adamas'
The tvN series is his first time playing two characters at the same time.
In a report cited by Osen, Ji Sung confessed that playing Ha Woo Shin and Song Soo Hyun is quite challenging since both characters have different personalities.
"There were many difficult parts because I tried to maximize the same but subtle differences that identical twins have," he explained.

However, he is thankful to the director for their constant communication as he continues to devote himself to the script and the character.
"Adamas" is Ji Sung's K-drama comeback after the hit series "The Devil Judge" with Kim Min Jung and GOT7's Jinyoung.
Apart from his latest drama, the actor is also known for headlining the 2003 series "All In" which is said to be his breakthrough performance.
Adding to the list of Ji Sung's dramas are "Protect the Boss," "The Great Seer," "Secret," "Kill Me, Heal Me" where he won a Daesang or grand prize at the MBC Drama awards.
What to Look Forward to in Ji Sung's 'Adamas'
While the mystery crime series gains popularity, "Adamas" may soon uncover if Ha Woo Shin's claim was right.
In addition, will his team up with Choi Tae Sung be a wise thing to do, or will it lead him to chaos?
"Adamas" episode 6 is set to air on August 11 via tvN.
