'Cafe Minamdang' Episode 18 Ends on Its Personal Best + Did Seo In Guk Defeat Gopuri?
"Cafe Minamdang" Episode 18 concluded on a strong note as Seo In Guk, Oh Yeon Seo, and their teams stopped the root of evil through Gopuri. Interestingly, the KBS2 comedy-crime K-drama scored an impressive viewership rating for its finale!
'Cafe Minamdang' Ratings
In a report cited by Newsen, "Cafe Minamdang" Episode 18 garnered an average nationwide of 5.7 percent, according to Nielsen Korea. It is a significant increase from its previous episode with only 5 percent.
The finale episode also was the drama's highest viewership rating since it premiered on June 27.
'Cafe Minamdang' Episode 18: Gopuri Escapes Nam Han Joon
Seo In Guk's K-drama continues with the intense confrontation between the Gopuri a.k.a Prosecutor Cha Do Won and Nam Han Joon.
Just when the villain thought that he got his target, Nam Han Joon revealed that it was all staged.
Unfortunately, his trusted aid came to the rescue with Gu Tae Soo holding a rifle. As the Gopuri attempts to flee, Lieutenant Han Jae Hee tries to catch the prosecutor but she is shot by Gu Tae Soo, leaving Han Jae Hee injured while Cha Do Won escapes the incident.

The police have warned the public that a serial killer is on the loose. Prosecutors Cha's face is all over the news and has been receiving mixed reactions to his action. While others see him as the suspect, some think that what he did was heroic.
It can be recalled that the suspect of Gopuri was mostly bad people; however, the public didn't know that he also killed innocent people like Lieutenant Han Jae Hee's brother.
Han Jae Hee Finds Gopuri's Hit List, Evidence from His Past
In the "Cafe Minamdang" finale, Lieutenant Han accidentally finds more clues about the Gopuri, which includes his hit list and a video from his childhood.
In a secret notebook it contains the names of his target, mostly are influential people. On the other hand, surprising evidence features his past and how his father and the physiatrist brainwashed him.
To control Cha Do Won from killing someone, the physiatrist had a special tool to restrain him from unwanted emotions.
Although the team understands where he is coming from, the prosecutor had to pay for his crimes, especially killing innocent people.
Prosecutor Cha Attacks the Minamdang Team
As Nam Hye Joon, Jo Na Dan, and Gong Soo Cheol set their activities to catch the Gopuri, little did they know that they were being targeted one by one.
Lastly, he went to find Nam Han Joon, who is the only one continuing the plan, and didn't realize that his teammates were down.
The two had another round of intense battle as Nam Han Joon pointed out that it is not right to put justice in his hands.
"Why don't you admit it already. You are just a lowlife murderer. You're not some righteous grand judge that you think you are," he tells Cha Do Won.
As Nam Han Joon gets the upper hand, he wants to hit him in the head with a brick but tells him that he had to experience hell in prison.
Thankfully, the police arrived at the scene. All eyes are on the Gopuri, but Nam Han Joon stressed that he is a criminal and should not be lauded for it.
Minamdang Team Encounters Another Series of Killings
In the latter part of "Cafe Minamdang" finale, Nam Han Joon and Han Jae Hee went on a date. The lieutenant shared that she is happiest when she's with Nam Han Joon catching bad guys.
During their date, the couple heard a loud screen after two ladies saw a hand near the stream.
Episode 18 featured the Minamdang team starting another investigation along with Lieutenant Han.
