'Love in Contract' Episode 1

The episode starts with Choi Sang Eun (Park Min Young) introducing her one-of-a-kind job, which is being a wife for hire to single men who need an escort, may it be weddings, reunions, and other social gatherings.

However, some may see it as an odd job but for Choi Sang Eun, it has a deeper meaning to it.

Most of her clients needed someone to show off because they were once bullied by their schoolmates, or experienced peer pressure to marry someone.

Just like her former client turned friend who is gay - the reason that he hired Choi Sang Eun's service is that he wanted to bring pride to their family, being the only men among the siblings.

In the rom-com series, it also showcased Choi Sang Eun's past and why she came up with a unique job.

In the first episode, Choi Sang Eun, also called Lady Choi, was practically raised by Yoo Mi Ho, who controlled her life. It also includes the man she will get to marry.

However, she chose not to follow her plan and ran away from home. Due to this, she is paying Yoo Mi Ho every penny that she has caused for inconvenience just because she doesn't want to get married.

The fastest way to pay up her debt is by doing the wife-for-hire service.

After 13 years, Choi Sang Eun is looking forward to her retirement.

Although she doesn't believe in marriage, she wants someone to love her and doesn't know about her past. One way to do this is to live in another country.

As she gears up for her nearing retirement, she wanted to end things with her long-term client, Jung Ji Ho (Go Kyung Pyo).

Despite being her client for 5 long years, they only had a few conversations and only knew the basics about his life, which includes his name and age.

As for Ji Ho, he appears to be suffering from a social disorder and hired Choi Sang Eun service to help him deal with his disorder.

In the last part of "Love in Contract" episode 1, Choi Sang Eun wanted to give the best present to her most loyal client. She invited her to dinner and offered a wide array of delectable meals.
