'The Law Cafe' Episode 9: Kim Yu Ri Gets Scammed
In episode 9 of "The Law Cafe," Kim Yu Ri (Lee Se Young), along with the other tenants in Kim Jeong Ho's (Lee Seung Gi) building, find themselves in a sitch.
While Kim Yu Ri tries her best to avoid the latter, she engages in other recreational activities and becomes more interested in investing in stocks.
They invested in a shaman who can see the future, as well the stock market rise, and invest 3,000 USD.
However, this turns out to be a scam as the shaman is actually a con artist who went to jail five years ago for committing fraud.
Kim Yu Ri Learns About Whistleblower
Because the shaman accumulated a huge amount of money from the residents including Kim Yu Ri, Kim Jeong Ho became adamant to take him down.
He asks his friend and publisher who has vast connections to find the shaman. Thankfully, they track him down and devise a plan.
In episode 9, Kim Yu Ri also learns the truth about Kim Jeong Ho. She sees the poster in the publishing company that resembles the comic book she was reading before.

As she puts the puzzle pieces, she realizes that the story in the book has similarities to her life. Determined about the truth and identity of Whistleblower, she confronts Kim Jeong Ho.
Like before, he apologizes for not telling her sooner. Because of this, Kim Yu Ri feels guilty as she imagines the latter becoming helpless alone.
The Law Cafe Squad Takes Down The Conniving Shaman
In order to catch the culprit, the Law Cafe Squad devises a plan: to surprise the shaman in action.
With this, they come to the gambling den near their place with their disguise. The shaman loses all his money to Kim Jeong Ho, which fuels the culprit's anger.
His irritation becomes more intense when he realizes that Kim Jeong Ho has been deceiving him, playing unfair against him.

When he threatens to hurt everyone inside the gabgling den, Han Se Yeon (Kim Seul Gi) and the financial crimes department of the police come to the scene to take him to the station.
At the end of the episode, Kim Yu Ri and Kim Jeong Ho cry their hearts out, and apologize for constantly hurting one another with their lies and secrets.
