Nam Ji Hyun Reveals Difficulties in Playing 'Little Women' Role

"Little Women" star Nam Ji Hyun shares her raw opinions on her role, following the conclusion of the series.

Following the story of three destitute sisters, Nam Ji Hyun took on the role of Oh In Kyung, a news reporter who doesn't get fazed by money. The drama aired its finale on Sunday, October 9, which scored its highest viewership ratings.

According to Nam Ji Hyun, her "Little Women" role is the most difficult character she ever played in her career. She said, "I took on roles that everyone supported, but she is a polarizing character."

Because of this, she didn't expect that many people would love Oh In Kyung until the end, which raised the fear index during the broadcast.

"Oh In Kyung is reckless and frustrating at times but her choices helped her climb to the top and take down the bad guys," she added.

On the other hand, the actress regrets that she and her onscreen sisters Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hu didn't have a lot of scenes together which she was looking forward to after meeting them.

Nam Ji Hyun shared that she has sisters in real life, and she would have loved building a greater relationship with her Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hu's characters in the drama.

Nam Ji Hyun Reveals Similarities With 'Little Women' Acting Role

During the broadcast, Nam Ji Hyun receives a call from one of her college friends, saying that she was the exact depiction of Oh In Kyung.

She reasoned, "When it comes to our consistency and perseverance, we're totally similar. Once we put our minds to it, we will do anything to achieve our goals."

Nam Ji Hyun also talked about Park Eun Bin, a fellow alumni of Sogang University's psychology department. Previously, Nam Ji Hyun and Park Eun Bin appeared together in "Lobbyist," however, the two weren't close at the time.

"We once met at university but we were both in such a hurry that we couldn't exchange numbers," Nam Ji Hyun shared. "I hope we meet in a drama in the future."

While Nam Ji Hyun stirs buzz with "Little Women," Park Eun Bin also causes commotion as she starred in "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," proving the two stars' popularity.

"I hope work with amazing people like them again in the future," she said. "To me, the drama is the greatest gift I could ever ask for."
