Ha Jung Woo gets honest as he opens up about his big screen comeback for "Narco-Saints."

One of the hit series this 2022, the crime-thriller series entered Netflix's top 10 global TV shows after making its debut on September 9.

Helmed and written by Yoon Jong Bin of "KUNDO : Age of the Rampant" and "KUNDO: Age of the Rampant" the six-part episode K-drama ranked first in various countries, like Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, Singapore, Kenya, Morocco, Hong Kong, and the Bahamas.

Moreover, besides the star-studded cast lineup and the unique plot, Ha Jung Woo, Hwang Jung Min, Park Hae Soo, and Jo Woo Jin's chemistry gained massive attention from the viewers and trended on social media.

Interestingly, lead star Ha Jung Woo revealed his initial worries about the "Narco-Saints" debut.

Ha Jung Woo Worried That Viewers Will Get Bored Watching 'Narco-Saints'

During his appearance in Udong, Haeundae-gu, Busan for the event, Actors House, the award-winning actor talks about his concern with the series' length, thinking that viewers might get bored watching "Narco-Saints."

He explained that "movies usually have 2-3 hours to express its characters" however in the Netflix series it took them six hours to showcase the characters' intensity.

"Movies can express the character in detail and density, but I was worried that people who watched such a long drama would feel bored or excessive when following the characters," he said as obtained by a media outlet.

Apart from his concerns regarding the length of "Narco-Saints" and how viewers will react to this, Ha Jung Woo also revealed that he "filmed this long drama with caution so that it wouldn't look boring."

He explained that at first, he wondered if his character, Kang In Gu, is realistic enough to portray someone who gets caught up in a deadly mission after he gets intertwined with the NIS' mission to arrest Suriname's most wanted drug lord.

With this, he spoke with "Narco-Saints" director Yoon Jong Bin to make a few adjustments to his character.

In the Netflix series, Ha Jung Woo plays Ka In Gu, a South Korean entrepreneur who temporarily moved to South America's Suriname, along with a friend to start a skatefish trading business.

However, he gets connected to Pastor Jeon Yo Hwan, played by Hwang Jung Min. He escaped South Korea due to illegal drugs but continued his business in Suriname, trading cocaine.

As Kang In Gu served his prison time after being caught up in the Pastor's plan, NIS agent, Choi Chang Ho, played by Park HaeSoo offered him a deal, making him their intel to arrest the pastor.

Ha Jung Woo Enters October Movie Star Brand Reputation Rankings

The renowned actor returned with a bang as Netflix's "Narco-Saints" received an overwhelming response from the public.

With this, Ha Jung Woo made it second in October Movie Star Brand Reputation Rankings next to Lee Jung Jae.

Besides the 6-part episode K-drama, he is also set to headline upcoming movies " Night Trip" with Kim Nam Gil and "Boston 1947" with Im Siwan.
