Yoo Ah In's name is being mentioned amid the tragic Itaewon stampede incident that happened in South Korea during Halloween. With this, the actor's agency released a statement clarifying his involvement.

Yoo Ah In's Agency Slammed Rumors About the Actor's Involvement Following Itaewon Tragedy

In a report obtained by a media outlet, the "Hellbound" star's agency, United Artists Agency (UAA) pointed out that the rumors were "groundless" after claiming that Yoo Ah In was the cause of the accident in downtown Itaewon, Seoul.

With this, UAA shared that the actor was out of the country when the incident happened.

"Yoo Ah In left on the 29th and is currently staying abroad," the agency said, pointing out that the award-winning star "has nothing to do with the Itaewon disaster."

The news regarding Yoo Ah In comes after online claims were saying that people flocked to the streets of Itaewon during Halloween to see popular influencers and celebrities, among them is the "Chicago Typewriter" star who lives in the area.

On October 31, hundreds of people, the majority in their 20s, flocked to the alleyway of Itaewon to celebrate Halloween.

Unfortunately, right before the clock strikes 12, a tragic incident happened after a stampede occurred in the area, leaving over 150 people dead and more than 80 people injured.

Among those who perished is actor and singer Lee Ji Han.

In a report, his agency, 935 Entertainment, confirmed his death, statig "Actor Lee Ji Han, who is a part of our precious family, left our side and became a star in the sky."

Following the devastating incident, celebrities from music, tv and sports expressed their sympathy amid the tragedy.

Rapper DinDin took to Instagram Stories, calling it a "heartbreaking" incident along with a black and white photo with the words "Pray for Itaewon."

Meanwhile, BIGBANG's G-Dragon also posted a black and white photo on Instagram with words saying "RIP and my deepest condolences to the family. Wishing a speedy recovery to the injured" along with the hashtag #prayforitaewon.

Park Seo Joon's 'Itaewon Class' Gets Dragged in Korea's Crowd Crush

Apart from Yoo Ah In, Park Seo Joon's K-drama "Itaewon Class" was also mentioned following the tragedy.

Due to the popularity of the series, people wanted to experience the Halloween vibe as seen in one episode of the K-drama, where it featured Park Seo Joon's role Park Sae Ro Yi was reunited with his friend Oh Soo Ah, played by Kwon Nara during the Halloween festivity in Itaewon.

Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a magical and unforgettable experience turned into a disaster after hundreds of people including foreign tourists witnessed a tragic incident.
