K-drama heartthrob Kang Tae Oh is truly expanding his career to a new level. Even though he momentarily exits in the entertainment spotlight to fulfill his duty in the army, the actor's popularity soared outside the military camp.
Based on the report provided by Osen News on November 4, the "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" lead actor topped the Brand Power Ranking among male actors not just once, but for five consecutive weeks.
It has been said that from October 26 to November 2, Star Survey cast votes to find out the "Brand Power" chart of the actors and actresses that are currently active in South Korea. As a result, Kang Tae Oh ranked first in the actor category in the fifth week of October.
In particular, the former 5urprise member garnered 1,032,780 votes out of 2,446,410 total votes. Many are amazed by all of Kang Tae Oh's impressive achievements given that he currently serves in the military and has been out of the spotlight since October.
Kang Tae Oh's Ongoing Popularity
Even before he enlisted, Kang Tae Oh has become a hot topic in multiple online communities both in Korea and abroad. It was all thanks to his hard work and high caliber acting in the record-breaking ENA Channel's drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."
His favorable image accumulated through his public appearances in interviews, pictorials, advertisements, and online fan meetings, leads the actor to his current success. As such, the "Run On" star's absence will be minimal, since he will be on hiatus for two years.
