Cha Joo Young, who is set to make her return with a new Netflix series, generates buzz online for her quirky and awe-inspiring journey to stardom.

Unbeknownst to many, Cha Joo Young's never wanted her to pursue the entertainment industry as they wanted her to become a businesswoman. She was an exemplary student who attended the prestigious University of Utah.

She could also speak five languages including Korean, Japanese, English, Chinese and French, which only amplified her parents' expectations of her. However, Cha Joo Young's dreams of becoming an actress never faded.

At 25, she moved to South Korea in hopes to become an actress and luckily, she was cast in "Cheese in the Trap," which opened doors of opportunities for the aspiring star.

Cha Joo Young's parents were so against her decision that they even coaxed her into giving up her dreams. They also told the production unit of "Cheese in the Trap" that they will pay off the production penalties once the actress withdraws her participation.

Thankfully, the actress never backed down and still continued her journey. She has also starred in "Love in the Moonlight," "Wok of Love," "The Spies Who Loved Me" and more!

Cha Joo Young also appeared in the 2021 crime thriller series "Chimera" with world class stars Park Hae Soo and Claudia Kim.

This 2022, she also established her name by portraying a grim reaper in Lee Joon Gi and Kim Ji Eun's fantasy action series "Again My Life."

Cha Joo Young also flaunted her versatility through transforming into a reliable assistant in Watcha's "Alice, the Ultimate Weapon."

This time, she joins Song Hye Kyo in decorating the forthcoming Netflix series "The Glory," guaranteeing a different performance that raises expectations.

Cha Joo Young is expected to play a pivotal role in Song Hye Kyo and Lim Ji Yeon's new high scale work "The Glory," which will be produced by Netflix!

The upcoming series follows the story of a school violence victim who seeks revenge on her bullies by taking up a teaching post at the elementary school where the bullies' child attends.

Despite not disclosing specific information regarding the work just yet, Cha Joo Young is predicted to transform into a strong character that will cement her name in the industry.
