Seolhyun To Make Drama Comeback With 'I Don't Want To Do Anything'
Singer-actress Seolhyun is gearing up to make her much awaited drama comeback this fall!
Coupling up with Im Siwan, Seolhyun decorates the small screen with the small town romance series "I Don't Want To Do Anything" where she transforms into a burnout medical practitioner who seeks comfort from a new adventure.
On November 7, Seolhyun made a guest appearance in SBS Power FM's radio program "Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time" with Shin Eun Soo.

Seolhyun opened up and talked about her career, saying, "I've been filming non-stop for different dramas so breaks and rest are quite foreign to me."
She recently starred in the fantasy sci-fi drama "Awaken" and mystery comedy web drama "The Killer's Shopping List" where Seolhyun challenged herself with breathtaking action scenes and fast-paced narratives.
This time, Seolhyun diversifies her filmography as she appears in "I Don't Want To Do Anything" where her character makes the biggest decision in her life: quit her job and move to a small village to live a new life.
When Choi Hwa Jung asked why she chose to star in the show, Seolhyun admitted that she was fascinated by the drama's abrupt yet courageous narrative of taking on an unknown challenge that will drastically change everything.
"I fell in love with the drama as soon as I read the script," Seolhyun stated. "I also loved the webtoon. It felt very personal as though the characters spoke to me. think many viewers will find comfort from the work so I was eager to accept the offer."
In addition to that, the singer-actress compared herself to her new acting role, and shared her realizations.
Seolhyun Reveals Honest Thoughts On New Acting Role
Since her transition from being a top idol to a promising actress, Seolhyun has been booked and busy!
Unlike her character, Lee Yeo Reum, in "I Don't Want To Do Anything," she has so much to lose if she decides to quit her current job. When Choi Hwa Jung asked whether she'd be able to voluntarily quit everything, Seolhyun hesitated to answer.
She answered, "I think I'm 99% similar to Lee Yeo Reum. It's the reason why I wanted to appear in the work; I found comfort in her."
"Leaving everything behind, especially in this industry, is a difficult thing. She [Lee Yeo Reum] went through a lot of tough experiences before she finally decided to quit," Seolhyun said. "If I experience such things, I think I might quit. But thankfully, there haven't been such incidents in my life so far."

Even more so, Seolhyun hopes to give comfort and healing to viewers who are experiencing hardships at a crossroad of life. "I Don't Feel Like Doing Anything" will be released in November through ENA Channel.
