Award-winning actress Youn Yuh Jung turned down the offer for another season of "Youn's Kitchen."

The reality show, directed by the renowned Na Young Seok, focuses on the stars' transformation as CEO, director, and assistant chef as they set up small Korean restaurants overseas.

After the success of seasons 1 and 2 back in 2017 and 2018, sadly, the "Youn's Kitchen" cast will not be reunited for the third season as the Oscar-winning actress has declined to return for season 3.

Why Did Youn Yuh Jung Turn Down 'Youn's Kitchen'?

According to Star News, the veteran South Korean star has decided to not appear in the upcoming sequel because of a schedule conflict.

In a report, it was cited that the filming schedule with "Pachinko Season 2" might take place during the same filming period as "Youn's Kitchen."

Moreover, as Youn Yuh Jung's representative organized her schedule hoping that it's possible to accommodate the reality show, the label had to decline the offer and mentioned that they are also considering the top star's age and couldn't commit to back-to-back schedules.

The upcoming "Kitchen Series" directed by PD Na, is scheduled to be filmed in December 2022 and aims to premiere in the coming year.

As mentioned, Youn Yuh Jung is gearing up for the highly anticipated sequel of "Pachinko" where she played the role of Kim Sun Ja and later Baek Sun Ja.

The award-winning actress stars alongside South Korean heartthrob Lee Min Ho and rookie actress Kim Min Ha, who also played the younger Sun Ja.

It can be recalled that Apple TV+ confirmed the second installment of the novel-based series.

At the time, showrunner Soo Hugh, tells media that "words cannot express my joy in being able to continue telling the extraordinary story of this indomitable family."

Apart from Youn Yuh Jung, the "Pachinko 2" cast is yet to be confirmed which means it is still unconfirmed whether Lee Min Ho and Kim Min Ha will reprise their roles.

Will Lee Seo Jin Replace Youn Yuh Jung in the 'Kitchen Series'?

Following Youn Yuh Jung's decision not to return for the forthcoming season, Lee Seo Jin is set to headline a spin-off series for "Youn's Kitchen."

As obtained by a media outlet, the actor will be the front runner for "Seo Jin's" with a new concept.

While "Youn's Kitchen" focuses on highlighting Korean dishes, the upcoming spin-off will showcase Korean street food and fast food with a "lighter and approachable menu."

While the production sets up the cast lineup for the upcoming "Kitchen series," previous members Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, and Jung Yu Mi, are in talks to join the reality show.
