Honey Lee might be making a comeback with an interesting project.

After months of hiatus due to her pregnancy, the new mom is set to return to the small screen with a new K-drama helmed by the "My Love from the Star" director.

Is Honey Lee Returning to K-drama?

According to a media outlet, Honey Lee is selected to headline the upcoming K-drama "Flower That Blooms at Night." It is an investigative-comedy-historical series that follows the story of a widow living a double life.

As mentioned, the new sageuk drama will be directed by Jang Tae Yoo of "My Love from the Star," "Lovers of the Red Sky" and "Tree With Deep Roots" and will be broadcasted under MBC.

However, as for Honey Lee's agency, a source from her agency Saram Entertainment shared that the actress "is positively in talks to star in the drama 'Flower That Blooms at Night.'"

From Beauty Queen to Actress and Now a Mother

Known for her versatility and head-turning beauty, Honey Lee rose to fame after winning Miss Korea in 2006 and became the third runner-up for Miss Universe in 2007.

She then had her acting debut in 2009 landing a lead role in "Partner" with Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hyun Joo.

From then on, Honey Lee proved her star quality by mesmerizing viewers with her outstanding performance.

One of her remarkable K-dramas was the 2019 series "The Fiery Priest" alongside Kim Nam Gil, Kim Sung Kyun, and more.

Her last K-drama appearance was the hit rom-com series "One the Woman" where she played the character of Kang Mi Na, the daughter-in-law of the conglomerate Hanju Group.

Interestingly, this is also where she bagged the Top Excellence Award at the 2021 SBS Drama Awards.

In the same year, Honey Lee married her non-celebrity boyfriend and later announced that she is pregnant with their first child.

In June, the actress officially welcomed her daughter.

Honey Lee's Stunning Vogue Korea Shoot

During her pregnancy, Honey Le flaunted her baby bump as she graced Vogue Korea's cover.

At the time, she shared what prompted her to show off her new figure and explained that she "wanted to show that women's bodies are this miraculous."
