Lee Seung Gi Issues Settlement Contract For His Music To Hook Entertainment

Based on a report released on November 21, amidst the embezzlement controversy surrounding Hook Entertainment, its artist Lee Seung Gi made a buzz after he found out that he hasn't received any payment for the songs he produced.

In particular, the singer-actor was shocked to discover the mismanagement from his current agency. As a result, he sent a settlement-related certificate to Hook Management.

It has been said that with almost 137 songs he released for 18 years, Lee Seung Gi has not received a single penny in the settlement.

Dispatch Reveals More Details About Hook Entertainment's Mismanagement of Lee Seung Gi

Meanwhile, in a separate report by Dispatch last November 15, the "Law Cafe" lead star had sent a proof of contents, titled "Claim for Settlement of Musical Fees," to his agency.

In addition to the report, the proof of content states that during the 18-year exclusive contract period, not only has he never disclosed whether or not he has generated music fee revenue and details of it, nor has he ever paid a settlement fee for it.

From 2004 to 2022, Lee Seung Gi released 27 albums and 137 songs but didn't get any payment for it. His music revenue from 2004 to 2009 has already been deleted, making it more complicated as the record cannot be confirmed.

However, based on the music settlement statement for each distribution channel, Lee Seung Gi's music revenue from October 2009 to September 2022 reached 9.6 billion won. If the profits from June 2004 to August 2009 are added, music sales are expected to exceed 10 billion won.

Apart from it, the "Vagabond" actor was reportedly gaslighted for being a "bad singer" by his agency over the past 10 years. It was also said in the report that Lee Seung Gi inquired multiple times already with executives of his management to find out the right of his legitimate settlement-but one of the executives said he is a "bad singer," instead of answering Lee Seung Gi's concerns.

In the report published by Dispatch, the conversation between Lee Seung Gi and the executives was included. Even the records of his music production for the past years were revealed.

Furthermore, Hook Entertainment, which is being dragged in embezzlement allegations is yet to release a statement regarding the settlement issue of Lee Seung Gi.
