Ahead of its highly-anticipated debut on primetime, "Island" drops new posters displaying Cha Eun Woo, Kim Nam Gil, and more characters' distinctive powers in the upcoming series.

'Island' Lead Stars Transition Into Powerful Beings

Character posters of Kim Nam Gil, Cha Eun Woo, Lee Da Hee, and Sung Joon for TVING's series "Island" have been released.

The action-fantasy drama "Island" introduces the journey of four characters who have the destiny to fight against evils and visit earth to destroy the world. It is based on a cartoon and webtoon of the same name.

On November 22, a month before its scheduled premiere, the production dropped character posters of the drama's lead stars, which boast a high synchronization with the original written on the webtoon.

But what caught the fans attention was the phrases and strong lines that contain a short narrative of each character's identity.

Starting from veteran actor Kim Nam Gil, he transforms into a human with special abilities since he was born. He trained to become a weapon. In the poster provided, he exudes unrivaled charisma.

Next is Lee Da Hee, who takes the role of Mi Ho. She attracts attention as she is clad in a fiery red ensemble that speaks for her bold persona.

Due to her indecisiveness, she is punished by his father, resulting in her residing on Jeju Island for a few months. She works as a teacher, but her life becomes more enthralling when she meets Ban and John.

After his silver screen debut with "Decibel," Cha Eun Woo will have his immediate comeback on screen with "Island."

In the poster, he shows off his visuals while wearing a priest's uniform.

Written in the caption on his poster "I will protect you." He plays the role of Father John and has the ability to perform exorcisms.

Joining the trio is "Lie To Me" star Sung Joon. He is expected to portray Gung Tan's character, who is abandoned by the world due to the unfortunate events that happened in his life. For him, humans should not be trusted as they are more dangerous than evil spirits.

Furthermore, "Island" will be released sometime in December and will meet global viewers through TVING and Amazon Prime Video.

Recently, a trailer teaser of the series was released giving viewers a sneak peek at what to expect from the actors' upcoming characters.
