Ju Ji Hoon Stars as Genius Surgeon in New Webtoon-Based Medical K-Drama
Ju Ji Hoon is among the stars who are booked and busy in 2023. The top celebrity is chosen as the lead star of the upcoming K-drama "Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour."
According to a media outlet, the top star ha confirmed his appearance and will transform into a genius doctor in the medical series.
Ju Ji Hoon Confirmed to Play Genius Surgeon in Webtoon-Based Drama
From Joseon's Crown Prince to Jirisan's park ranger and now a skilled doctor, Ju Ji Hoon proves his versatility as an actor after he accepted the offer to play the role of Baek Kang Hyuk.
In a report, the 40-year-old star will be portraying a top-notch surgeon in the best university hospital in Korea.
"Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour" will depict the story of Baek Kang Hyuk, who is in charge of the head of the severe trauma center at Korea University Hospital.
Moreover, the medical drama series will also focus on patients' stories who are at the forefront of life and death.

Ju Ji Hoon's new drama is based on the popular webtoon of the same name, penned by a current otolaryngologist and YouTuber Hansan Lee
Interestingly, the outlet also cited that the novel was written by an incumbent doctor using Professor Lee Guk Jong, a traumatologist, as a real-life model.
"Severe Trauma Center: Golden Hour" is penned by So Hyun Kyung of "Shining Inheritance," "Twenty Again" and "My Golden Life."
Ju Ji Hoon's Back-to-Back Projects in 2023
After confirming his appearance in the upcoming webtoon-based series, Ju Ji Hoon is among the busy stars this 2023.
Following his K-drama comeback in 2021 for "Jirisan" with Hallyu queen Jun Ji Hyun, the top star will return to the small screen with an exciting series.
Ju Ji Hoon will headline a soon-to-be-released thriller sci-fi K-drama "Dominant Species" along with Han Hyo Joo, Lee Hee Joon, Lee Moo Saeng, and Park Ji Yeon as lead stars.
Per reports, he is currently filming the series which focuses on the existence of humans after being dominated by mysterious creatures.
Playing the role of Woo Chae Woon, he previously worked in the army and now works as a bodyguard under CEO Yoon Ja Yoo, played by Han Hyo Joo.
In the upcoming sci-fi series, Woo Chae Woon opened the door for the "dominant species."
Interestingly, the viewers will get to see Ju Ji Hoon's unique transformation with his new character.
Apart from "Dominant Species," Ju Ji Hoon also stars in the upcoming reality tv show "Ticketing on Two Feet."
Scheduled to premiere on January 20 via TVING, the top star is co-hosted by his celebrity friend and "Narco-Saints" star Ha Jung Woo along with SHINEE's Minho and Yeo Jin Goo.
