‘Island’ First Korean Content To Enter Top 10 on Amazon Prime
Marking its third week on primetime, TVING's action-fantasy series "Island" continues to leave a remarkable impression on international viewers as it entered the top 10 on Amazon Prime.
Kim Nam Gil's 'Island' Continues To Make Good Impression Worldwide
The original TVING drama "Island" ranked 9th worldwide on Amazon Prime Video, and is the first Korean content to make it on the list!
On January 10, according to FlixPatrol, which checks and monitors the ranking content released on OTT platforms around the world, "Island" occupied the #9 spot in the global TV Show Top 10 category last January 8.
Shortly after its release, it ranked first in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand.

Apart from the mentioned, the K-series also ranked in 24 countries including Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. It has been said that this is all more meaningful as it entered the global TV show for the first time in Korean content for two consecutive weeks since its release on December 30, 2022.
In addition, the compelling story of the original webtoon and the similarities between the cast and the original characters are said to be the reasons behind the drama's success.

The webtoon written by Yoon In Wan and Yang Kyung Il has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, which already forms a loyal fanbase.
'Island' Episodes: Van & Yo Han Face Demons To Protect Won Mi Ho
To recall, in the third and fourth episodes of "Island," the dangerous cohabitation of Van (Kim Nam Gil) and Yo Han (Cha Eun Woo) to protect Won Mi Ho (Lee Da Hee) began. The young priest made viewers nervous with an unexpected ending that pushes them to the limit to bring out the true appearance of half of the prophecy.
Mi Ho, who first came to work as a fixed-term teacher at Tamra High School with her class, found out that her student Su Ryeo was suffering from her boyfriend's threat. The student ended up wishing for the spirit of Benjulle, which was relieving the resentment of the unfair people.
