From Son Ye Jin to Choi Ji Woo, these stars welcomed a new milestone in their lives amid their continued fame and a skyrocketing career. 

Here are 4 five South Korean stars who give birth later than the usual age. 

Son Ye Jin

The Hallyu star made it to headlines after fans celebrate a new milestone in her life. 

In November 2022, 41-year-old Son Ye Jin welcomed her and Hyun Bin's firstborn. As obtained by local outlets, her agency shared the surprising news to the public, assuring that the new mom and their baby boy "are in good health."

To recall, the actress revealed bombshell news on her Instagram, sharing with fans that 2022 will be a special year for her.

"As you know, a precious life came to us. I realize that many people's sincere affection and help are needed for a baby to be born. I want to convey my heart to the people I am grateful for," she wrote. 

Choi Ji Woo

The award-winning actress and Hallyu queen Choi Ji Woo welcomed her first child in May 2021. 

At the age of 45, the actress gave birth to her adorable baby girl at a hospital in Seoul.

At the time, her agency, YG Entertainment shared an update, citing that are in good health. 

"We wish to thank everyone who has been sending in their congratulations," the agency added. 

Honey Lee

Following her wedding to a non-celebrity husband, Honey Lee's agency confirmed that the actress gave birth to a healthy baby girl on June 2022 in Seoul. 

"We are pleased to announce the good news that actress Honey Lee gave birth to a baby girl in Seoul hospital yesterday, June 20," the agency says. 

To recall, the former beauty queen turned actress made a surprise Vogue cover featuring her stunning baby bump. 

In an interview, she revealed that she is in the early stages of her pregnancy during the production of her comedy action K-drama "One the Woman."

Lee Young Ae

Best known for her role in the 2003 smash hit K-drama "Jewel In The Palace" Lee Young Ae gave birth to a pair of twins in 2011 at the age of 40. 

Her pregnancy comes two years after she secretly married her Korean businessman boyfriend in the United States. 

On her Instagram, she often updates fans with a glimpse of her life as a mom, enjoying her time with her children. 

Lee Young Ae had his K-drama comeback in 2011, headlining the mystery series "Inspector Koo" and will return as a lead star in "Maestra," the remake of the French TV series "Philharmonia."
