Go Bo Gyeol & Kim Min Gyu Display Intense Synergy In New Drama
A new teaser for tvN's much anticipated fantasy rom-com series "The Heavenly Idol" is released!
The upcoming drama starring Go Bo Gyeol and Kim Min Gyu tells the struggles of a high priest who wakes up one day in an idol group member's body.
It is based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name. Kim Min Gyu plays the role of Pontifex Lembrary, a high priest who becomes an idol after waking up in Woo Yeon Woo's body one day.
Meanwhile, Go Bo Gyeol takes on the role of Woo Yeon Woo's number one fan and manager, Kim Dal. In the series, the two fatefully meet and help each other out while figuring out how to bring back the priest in his own body.
With the intriguing plot, many fans are excited to see the drama, especially Go Bo Gyeol and Kim Min Gyu who work together for the first time.
The excitement doubled as tvN released a new drama teaser ahead of its premiere. It begins with Kim Dal expressing her adoration to Woo Yeon Woo.
However, her fantasy is soon destroyed as her favorite idol reveals that he's someone else; a priest who gets stuck inside his body. This causes Kim Dal to break down, eliciting comical reaction from fans.
To help Pontifex Lembrary out, Kim Dal applies as Wild Animal's road manager. The two plan to make Woo Yeon Woo, and his idol group, become famous in hopes to bring back their souls into their rightful bodies.
The teaser shared not only a snippet of what would happen in the series but also a glimpse of Go Bo Gyeol and Kim Min Gyu's chemistry, much to viewers' delight.

Meanwhile, Kim Min Gyu stole the hearts of every viewer from all over the world last year with his unforgettable role as Cha Sung Hoon in SBS TV's "Business Proposal."
Like "The Heavenly Idol," his previous work was based on a popular webtoon, which raises the expectations from the actor.
