Interestingly, the idol-actress broke her silence and revealed why she got them and the meaning behind them.

"I got the tattoos because I wanted to," she said, and as for the reason for choosing to cover her body with it, she said that it is connected with her character in "Glitch."

Although it perfectly suited her "Glitch" role, she didn't do it for the project but simply because she was interested in having it.

"I didn't form an interest because of the character of Bo Ra. I got these tattoos because I wanted to. So these are tattoos that I got personally," Nana furthered.

The actress is among Korean celebrities who chose to have tattoos despite the stigma. Gong Hyo Jin often shows off her arm tattoo in pictorials as well as Han Ye Seul's back tattoo that signifies the "Flower of Life."
