Song Joong Ki’s New Movie ‘Ro Ki Wan’ Officially Introduces Cast Lineup
Song Joong Ki is winning in life and in his career after the actor is set to star in another upcoming film "Ro Ki Wan." After discussion regarding the upcoming project, Netflix officially confirmed the cast lineup of the upcoming movie, headlined by the "Reborn Rich" star.
Netflix Introduces 'Ro Ki Wan' Cast Headlined by Song Joong Ki
Over Netflix's official Instagram, the streaming giant introduces high-caliber stars who will join Song Joong Ki's new movie.
Choi Sung Eun, Kim Seong Ryeong, Jo Han Chul, Lee Il Hwa, Lee Sang Hee, and Seo Hyun Woo will be completing the "Ro Ki Wan" cast.
Based on the novel "I Met Ro Ki Wan" the upcoming film is helmed by Kim Hee Jin of "A Brand New Journey," "Villa Triste," "MJ," and the 2014 "Our Neighborhood Story."
In the comments section, fans expressed how thrilled they are to see Song Joong Ki together with a roster of equally talented stars as they depict the love story of a North Korean defector.
After receiving the worldwide spotlight for his amazing performance in "Reborn Rich," the top star will be playing the role of a North Korean defector named Ro Ki Wan.
He struggles to be granted refugee status in Belgium but was able to meet the love of his life who lost her reason for living.
Meanwhile, Choi Sung Eun is set to portray the role of Ma Ri, a Belgian nationality and a former shooter. The actress is best known for her appearance in the Netflix original drama series "The Sound of Music."
On the other hand, Kim Sung Ryung will be Song Joong Ki's on-screen mother as she plays Ro Ki Wan's parent Ok Hee, while Lee Il Hwa will play Ma Ri's mother named Jeong Ju.

Interestingly, Song Joong Ki will be reunited for the third time with Jo Han Chul as he plays Ma Ri's father Yoon Seong.
To recall, Jo Han Chul first worked together with the top star in "Vincenzo" followed by "Reborn Rich" as he took the role of Jin Do Joon's (Song Joong Ki) uncle, Jin Dong Ki.
Song Joong Ki Booked & Busy This 2023
The upcoming Netflix romance film is among Song Joong Ki's upcoming projects in 2023.
After "Reborn Rich" his much-awaited film "Bogotá: City of the Lost," which was shot amid the pandemic, is slated to premiere this year.
On top of it, he will also headline the forthcoming noir movie "Hwaran."
The upcoming Song Joong Ki movie made headlines after it was reported that he confirmed to join the cast despite having "no guarantee," which means that the actor has decided not to receive payment for his appearance.
From back-to-back projects, Song Joong Ki started the year with a bang after confirming that he is married to Brish actress Katy Louise Saunders and will become a dad after announcing his wife's pregnancy.
