With today's cancel culture, more celebrities are cautious with their actions; however, as the entertainment industry grows, a number of stars get caught up in dating controversies, bullying issues and not to mentioned, and drug scandals.

From Kpop idols to award-winning stars, celebrities couldn't escape the prying eyes of the media and public. 

While netizens are buzzing over the latest news regarding Yoo Ah In's drug issue, here are three Korean actors and actresses who got involved with propofol use. 

Yoo Ah In 

On February 9, news broke that the person behind the blind item saying that a top Korean actor is being investigated over propofol used was none other than Yoo Ah In. 

As noted by TV Chosun's "News9" the award-winning star is being questioned by authorities for allegedly violating the Narcotics Control Act.

According to the outlet, Yoo Ah In's activities were traced, and found out that he has been using propofol since 2021. 

After his agency, United Artists Agency (UAA) released a statement confirming that the actor is currently under investigation, his urine test came in noting that the "Chicago Typewriter" star tested positive for marijuana.

While "Narco-Saints" is Ha Jung Woo's comeback as the top star managed to redeem himself with a spectacular performance, the 44-year-old actor once caught up in a drug scandal. 

In 2019, he was found guilty of violating Narcotics Control Act for illegally using propofol. With this, he was fined 30 million won or around $25,600. 

Two years after his hiatus, Ha Jung Woo breaks his silence, giving his public apology through an interview. 

"I felt that I only had one option at the moment. And that was to listen to the criticisms and read the news about my actions. I thought it was not the right time to make an explanation," he said as obtained by a media outlet. 

Park Shi Yeon 

In 2019, Park Shi Yeon was among the starts who were investigated for illegal usage of the drug, particularly propofol. 

According to a report, "Should We Kiss First?" the star reportedly use the said drug 185 times. 

On the other hand, her agency Eyagi Entertainment confirmed that she visited the hospital for cosmetics and treatment, and the label pointed out that the actress only followed the doctor's prescribe usage. 

At the time, the label also expressed how Park Shi Yeon regrets her action and promised to "work hard to be cleared on the parts of the indictments."
