Jin Seon Kyu made his debut in 2004 and this 2023, he celebrates his 19th year of being an actor.

Jin Seon Kyu Headlines Upcoming Film 'Count'

Since his debut in 2004, Jin Seon Kyu has been cast in more than a hundred dramas and films as an effective supporting star.

Some of his most notable works are "The Outlaws," "Extreme Job," "Doctors," "Kingdom" and "Big Bet." Thanks to his comical abilities and immersive acting chops, Jin Seon Kyu was able to cement his name in the industry.

This 2023, Jin Seon Kyu lands his first ever major acting role 19 years after his debut. He will transform into a gold medalist athlete-turned-gym teacher in his upcoming film "Count."

The film is a non-linear narrative which follows the life of a boxer who bags the gold medal in the men's light middleweight category at the 1988 Summer Olympics.

In the new project, he will play Park Si Heon, an athlete who wishes to hone more talents in order to make their lives worthwhile while also fulfilling his dreams as a former athlete.

"Count" marks Jin Seon Kyu's first solo lead film as well as the actor's best work yet. The film is scheduled to hit the big screen this February 22 in theaters nationwide!

What To Expect From Jin Seon Kyu's 'Count'

Currently, Jin Seon Kyu's "Count" is in its final production process. Through the work, they aim to deliver a new ray of hope to viewers of all ages, especially those who feel burnout at work.

In the film, Park Si Heon (Jin Seon Kyu) wins the Olympics over an American boxer, even when the observers think that the other should have won, leaving him being condemned in the athletic scene for years.

After the Olympics, he retired from boxing to pursue his new passion in teaching physical education in a high school, and encourage youths to become great athletes of South Korea.

On the other hand, "Count" will be produced by CJ ENM Movie. It also stars actors Oh Na Ra, Jang Dong Joo, Sung Yoo Bin and more!
