"Love to Hate You" actor Yoo Teo departed from Korea to make his appearance at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival for his movie "Past Lives."

Trending actor Yoo Teo's movie "Past Lives," according to C-Jes Entertainment, has been selected to compete at the Berlin International Film Festival.

With this, the actor already left South Korea on February 15 to attend the prestigious film festival happening on February 19. He is expected to walk on the red carpet in the upcoming event.

"Past Lives" is a romantic film featuring the story of Nora and Hae Sung, who were childhood friends. It is a story about the love of two individuals who reunited in New York 20 years after Nora immigrated to Canada.

Yoo Teo portrayed the role of Hae Sung and opposite him is the Korean-American actress Greta Lee.

Furthermore, "Past Lives" was invited to the 39th Sundance Film Festival in January. Thanks to Yoo Teo's great performance, the actor received four stars from the Guardian, a British media outlet, and was praised for his noteworthy work of the year.

The "Vagabond" star shared in his interview, "I personally wonder how 'Past Lives' will be evaluated in Europe. My dream was to become an actor who can work in Korea and abroad at the same time, but it's so amazing that it became a reality."

"Past Lives" is not just the only silver screen work of Yoo Teo. He has already produced a bunch of movies since 2009. He made his debut in "The Actresses." In 2012, he starred in "Love Fiction" and "Codename: Jackal."

In 2019, he was able to bag his first trophy for winning the Best Actor Award for his fantastic performance in "Vertigo." He also appeared in "Black Money," "Pawn," "New Year Blues," and his latest movie "Decision to Leave."

Even before he got recognized by the public due to his drama "Love to Hate You," Yoo Teo is already having the best life of his career after he made his Hollywood debut.

Meanwhile, you can watch him in the newly released K-drama "Love to Hate You" alongside Kim Ok Vin and Kim Ji Hoon.
