Lee Je Hoon marked a successful comeback as he topped TV search rankings, following "Taxi Driver 2" premiere.

On February 17, the much-awaited second sequel of SBS' action-mystery drama "Taxi Driver" officially made its debut on the screen. The original cast also gained viewers' attention as they are back for new adventures.

'Taxi Driver's' Lee Je Hoon Tops TV Search Rankings

"Taxi Driver" lead star Lee Je Hoon, who plays the role of Kim Do Ki, is hailed as the most searched actor in the TV search rankings.

According to Good Data Corporation on February 23, the research institute released the result of its "TV Search Rankings for the 3rd Week of February." Topping the list is Lee Je Hoon, followed by "Crash Course in Romance" actress Jeon Do Yeon.

Did Lee Je Hoon Outshine Jung Kyung Ho?

"The Heavenly Idol" star Kim Min Gyu, who just made his drama comeback, smoothly made it to the third spot. Lee Je Hoon's co-star Pyo Ye Jin ranked fourth. Seo Ji Hye, Hong Soo Hyun, Lee Sung Jae, Go Bo Gyeol, and Lee Sang Woo also made it to the list.

Jung Kyung Ho, who was in the top five last week, fell short at the tenth spot. However, Jung Kyung Ho is unbeatable as the most buzzworthy actor for three consecutive weeks already, while his ongoing series "Crash Course in Romance" remains most popular drama.

Meanwhile, in terms of drama search rankings, SBS' "Penthouse 3" took the top spot. Impressively, "Taxi Driver 2" ranked 2nd. Previous dramas "Lovestruck in the City," "Youth of May," "Tale of the Nine-Tailed," and "Bride of the Water God" are also on the list.

'Taxi Driver 2' Episode 1 Garners Impressive Ratings

Nielsen Korea reported that "Taxi Driver 2" episode 1 scored an average score of 12.1 percent nationwide, making it the most-watched Friday-Saturday drama.

Adding to the drama's early achievements, it is also the most popular program of any kind to air on Friday among viewers ages 20 to 49, whom earned an average rating of 5.2 in the Seoul metropolitan area.

"Taxi Driver 2" is a webtoon-based drama of the same name. It follows the story of a mysterious taxi service that delivers revenge on behalf of the victims who are unable to get justice through the law.
