Yoo Ah In Drug Issue: Police Detected Another Susbtance Other Than Marijuana and Propofol
Authorities released another update regarding Yoo Ah In's drug-related issue.
After being under investigation due to the use of an illegal substance, the award-winning actor is caught up in another controversy.
The news comes after MBC's News Desk cited that the "Hellbound" star is suspected of using a third drug other than propofol and marijuana.
Authorities Release Yoo Ah In's Drug Test Results
After weeks of waiting, the resuts of Yoo Ah In's drug test have been released as conducted by the National Institute of Scientific Investigation.
To recall, the result of his urine test states that the actor tested positive for marijuana use.
As for the hair test, it was detected that Yoo Ah In also tested positive for propofol and also detected a third substance.
According to a media outlet, there were "three types of drug ingredients detected through the actor's hair."
"There was another type of drug that was detected in addition to propofol, which the actor was suspected of first, and marijuana," the report says.
Yoo Ah In's Agency Responds to Update Regarding the Actor's Drug Test
With this, Yoo Ah In's agency, UAA released a statement after the National Institute of Scientific Investigation detected the third drug on top of marijuana and propofol.
The label said that they were coordinating with the police but they only "received the answer 'We can not tell you'."

Due to this, the agency asked for the public's understanding as they can't disclose further updates regarding Yoo Ah In's drug issue.
"We ask for your understanding that we cannot arbitrarily reveal our position based only on media reports in the absence of any official information from the police," the label says.
In addition, UAA also pointed out that they "have not received any information regarding the future investigation schedule" but mentioned that they "will faithfully cooperate" with the investigation "as soon as the schedule was set."
To recall, Yoo Ah In has undergone investigation after there was suspicion about his habitual propofol use.
Based on the probe, it has been revealed that the actor continually used propofol since 2021.
According to a website, the said substance should be used in a hospital setting and is often handled before and after surgeries.
It helps slows down the activity of your brain and nervous system and is given through an IV.
The effects of it include feeling relaxed and will quickly fall asleep.
Yoo Ah In's Upcoming Project Affected by the Drug Issue?
Following the probe, Yoo Ah In's current and upcoming projects were also affected by the controversies.
At the height of the issue, the report says that some of his advertisements were taken down.
In addition, there might be changes regarding the release of his soon-to-air projects. It includes "Goodbye Earth," "The Match," and the much-awaited "Hellbound 2."
