As the investigation continues regarding Yoo Ah In's drug abuse controversy, media outlets predicted that he might have a hard time or is highly likely to never come back to showbiz.

The speculation rose after the award-winning star is being investigated by authorities for use of illegal substances, particularly propofol or an anesthetic and a sedative used in a hospital setting.

According to a report, there has been discussion in various online communities regarding reports of media outlets about Yoo Ah In. Discussing the actor's future amid the drug scandal, some said that it might be the end of the "Seoul Vibe" star's career after being embroiled in drug abuse issues.

Although there were some celebrities who got caught up in the same controversy, Yoo Ah In's case might be different since authorities have found different types of drugs and high numbers of dosages.

With this, people are calling it a "triple crown" since Yoo Ah In not only tested positive for marijuana and propofol but also tested for the third drug.

Unfortunately, this is a big blow to his public image, especially his slew of advertisements. To recall, at the height of the controversy, Yoo Ah In's endorsements were taken down by various brands.

According to various outlets, it was reported that MUSINSA, a fashion brand that tapped Yoo Ah In as their ambassador, pulled out the actor's brand campaigns.

The same goes for the outdoor brand, NEPA, and pharmaceutical company, I'm Vita, which removed traces of the controversial top star from their social media channels and homepages.

The actor's drug-related issue surely took a big impact on Yoo Ah In's public image, which might result in his career downfall.

Yoo Ah In K-dramas Affected by Controversy?

Like Yoo Ah In's advertisements, his slew of upcoming K-dramas and movies will also be affected by the drug scandal. According to a media outlet, Netflix has responded to the actor's controversy addressing the issue regarding his forthcoming projects with the streaming giant. 

A representative told Xsports News that they are currently working with drama officials regarding Yoo Ah In's situation.

"We are speaking with the project's representatives about the current situation," an official told the outlet.

To recall, the actor is set to headline an upcoming K-drama with Netflix titled "Goodbye Earth." The novel-based K-drama features a team-up between Yoo Ah In and "Hospital Playlist" actress Ah Eun Jin alongside Kim Yoon Hye, Jeon Sung Woo as the lead star.

In addition, he will also appear in "Hellbound" season 2 and the release of "High Five" with Ra Mi Ran, Ahn Jae Hong, and more.
