The movie marks the singer-actress' comeback to the acting scene months after the conclusion of her buzzworthy series "May I Help You," and her return to the big screen after five long years!

Girl's Day Hyeri Headlines New Film 'Victory'

Singer-actress Lee Hyeri is making her much anticipated return to the big screen with a new film!

On March 6, Girl's Day Hyeri was reported to lead the upcoming period youth film "Victory" with Park Se Wan, Jo Ah Ram, Choi Ji Su and more!

Hyeri landed the role of Pil Sun, a high school student who has great passion for dancing. Set in 1999 South Korea, "Victory" follows the stories of high school girls who join the cheerleading team while maintaining their friendship and perseverance to achieve their dreams in life.

Recently, the idol-turned-actress showed off her versatile acting skills in the mystery melodrama "May I Help You" with Lee Jun Young where she played the role of a funeral director who sees ghosts.

However, Hyeri gained a massive following after she continuously transformed into the vivacious and lively female lead in popular dramas "Reply 1988," "My Roommate Is A Gumiho" and "Moonshine."

Girl's Day Hyeri is set to work with equally amazing actresses to form the cheerleading team called Millenium Girls in the forthcoming film!

Park Se Wan transforms into Mi Na, a dedicated best friend to Pil Sun. Meanwhile, Jo Ah Ram takes on the role of Se Hyun, a transfer student who's also the best cheerleader in Seoul.

The two women will become Pil Sun's anchor and enemy in the film, which raises tension and excitement. Meanwhile, rookie actresses Choi Ji Su, Baek Hi, Kwon Yu Na and more are also part of the work.

Fans also expect a lot from the all female cast, their friendship, inner dilemmas and more, which will surely resonate to viewers especially teens and young adult women.

In particular, "Victory" will be handled by "Single in Seoul" director Park Bum Soo. Filming begins this March 2023 with the intention to release the work in the first quarter of 2024.
