Ji Chang Wook Reportedly To Star Alongside Jeon Do Yeon in New Movie 'Revolver'

On March 7, it was announced that K-heartthrob Ji Chang Wook is being courted to star in the police movie "Revolver." In response to this, his agency Glorious Entertainment stated that the actor received a casting offer and he is considering the film.

If he officially accepts the work, it will be Ji Chang Wook's first collaboration with Jeon Do Yeon, who is already known through her various thriller genre films. She just finished her rom-com series "Crash Course in Romance," and is preparing to meet viewers again through "Kill Bok Soon."

The action movie "Revolver" tells the journey story of a former police officer who runs towards her ultimate goal. Jeon Do Yeon plays the character of a police officer.

Sanai Pictures will produce the film, and will be helmed by Oh Seung Wook, whom Jeon Do Yeon already worked with in "The Shameless."

Once the casting has been finalized, the production will immediately proceed with filming.

Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook is set to part ways with his longtime agency Glorious Entertainment after over a decade.

In addition, the "Annarasumanara" lead star is making his small screen comeback this year through the action-crime series "The Worst Evil." He will also have his offline fan meeting in Yokohama, Japan, in the first half of 2023.

Ji Chang Wook To Accept the Next Generation Award at the Asian Film Awards

In a separate report on March 7, the Korean actor is said to accept the Next Generation Award at the 16th Asian Film Awards. It is a special award in the non-competitive category, and is given to new stars who have starred in projects that were released in Asia.

The Asia Film Awards Academy (AFAA), founded in 2013 by the Hong Kong International Film Festival, the Busan International Film Festival, and the Tokyo International Film Festival, holds the ceremony every year to commemorate and encourage filmmakers, and actors, and acknowledge their works.

Ji Chang Wook debuted in 2008. Some of his greatest series are "Empress Ki," "Healer," "The K2," "Suspicious Partner," "Lovestruck in the City," and more.

His latest projects were in 2022 through "The Sound of Magic" and "If You Wish Upon Me."
