'The Glory's' Park Sung Hoon Joins Choi Sooyoung in New Rom-Com K-Drama

On March 9, it was reported by a media outlet that SNSD's Sooyoung is confirmed to star in the rom-com series "Nam Nam" (working title).

According to the drama's production, "The Glory" actor Park Sung Hoon, Jeon Hye Jin, and Ahn Jae Wook are working together for the first time in the drama.

"Nam Nam" features the journey of a single mother and her daughter living together.

What We Know So Far About the Cast of 'Nam Nam'

Jeon Hye Jin, who was lauded for her excellent acting skills in her previous work, will transform into a single mother named Eum Mi. She is a charming physical therapist.

Choi Sooyoung, who showed her growing skills in acting, takes the role of Jin Hee, the head of the patrol team at the local police station, who is in urgent need of space for her careless mother.

Jeon Hye Jin and SNSD's Sooyoung are expected to show a unique mother-and-daughter chemistry that viewers have never seen. 

Meanwhile, veteran actor Ahn Jae Wook plays the character of Jin Hong, an otolaryngologist and a mysterious man who suddenly appeared in Eum Mi's life.

Different from his role in the revenge series, Park Sung Hoon turns into a director of Namchon Police Station, where his life is twisted after meeting Jin Hee at the demoted police station.

The actor plays the villain in "The Glory" and shows his wide-amplitude acting skills in the revenge drama. Now, many are looking forward to his acting transformation in this upcoming rom-com series. 

As such, expectations are high for more than perfect acting chemistry that these four actors will deliver. Furthermore, "Nam Nam" is scheduled to air in the second half of 2023.

Choi Sooyoung won the Excellence Award at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards for her performance in the short healing series "Fanletter, Please."

The idol-actress also attended Im Siwan's fan meeting in Seoul last February as support for her "Run On" co-star. They also shared the stage for a short yet amazing dance performance.

Park Sung Hoon, on the other hand, will meet the viewers this coming March 10 as he returns as a villain in "The Glory" Part 2.

He is also booked to participate in the soon-to-be released drama "The Day of the Kidnapping," alongside Yoon Kye Sang, Kim Shin Rok, Yu Na, Kim Sang Ho, Seo Jae Hee, and Kang Young Seok.
