With "The Glory" Part 2 around the corner, Song Hye Kyo takes her time to extend her gratitude to the avid viewers of her revenge drama.

She also opened up about her character, her experience and how she prepared for the second part of the A-lister Netflix series.

Song Hye Kyo Dishes Honest Feelings On 'The Glory' Part 2

Since its initial release, Netflix Korea's "The Glory" starring Song Hye Kyo has dominated the global charts!

The drama touches on the themes of bullying, violence, redemption and revenge. Released in December 2022, "The Glory" captured the attention of viewers all around the world.

Song Hye Kyo also enjoyed the praises she received as Moon Dong Eun, a school violence victim who dedicated her life to planning on how to avenge her painful past.

Before the release of Part 2, Song Hye Kyo expressed her eternal gratitude to the fans who supported her drama from the very beginning.

Despite being a veteran star in the industry, she revealed that she had a hard time filming the work and that it even took its toll on her health, both physically and emotionally.

Song Hye Kyo stated, "I worked as Moon Dong Eun for more than half a year but I'm also a person. Sometimes there's an ounce of Moon Dong Eun in myself [as Song Hye Kyo]."

With this, the actress claims that she "tore it up 100%," giving her genuine and authentic performance. According to Song Hye Kyo, there are a lot of moments where viewers will be surprised.

Meanwhile, "The Glory" Part 2 will hit the screen on March 10 on Netflix.

Song Hye Kyo On Becoming Moon Dong Eun

In Part 2, the actress will reveal her scars and painful past to Ha Do Young, played by Jung Sung Il.

To extract her revenge, she has to open up her heart and wounds once again. Song Hye Kyo stated that these moments took a toll on her emotional well-being.

"I focused on my character's habits and nuances to portray the rawness of her emotions," Song Hye Kyo shared. "Sometimes I would ask for a break due to the overwhelming feeling in my chest but thankfully, I pulled through."

In particular, although Song Hye Kyo doesn't wear heavy makeup, her entire look as well as the body scars take four to five hours to complete; it's without a doubt a masterpiece.

Song Hye Kyo also revealed that she didn't eat for three days nor drink water before the shoot to portray a body that has shut down a long time ago, proving the actress' dedication.
