The actress also received high praises for her realistic portrayal of pain, wrath and disgust as she navigates her way back to her abusers' lives, taunting them to death.

The actress revealed that becoming Moon Dong Eun is the greatest honor she had since she entered the showbiz industry. However, it also took its toll on her.

Song Hye Kyo revealed that playing Moon Dong Eun has been emotionally taxing for her, especially during heavy scenes with her perpetrators, mother and more.

In particular, she also talked about how she sacrificed her physical appearances for the work as her skin condition worsened as the premiere of Part 2 drew nearer.

She stated that days before filming, she would only eat bananas to keep her body in shape for her naked scenes, revealing her character's burn marks and battle scars.

In fact, the scars alone use up her time as it takes four to five hours to make with the help of amazing makeup artists in the filming set.

Dehydrated with all different kinds of makeup, Song Hye Kyo's skin declines; it's one of the things she needed to sacrifice to seamlessly synchronize with her role.
