Headlined by Song Hye Kyo, the series revolves on the life of a woman who plots her revenge on the people who tortured and abused her in the past.

Despite being focused on revenge and mature themes, the series still offered a bit of romance to lighten the fans' mood. Song Hye Kyo showed intense chemistry with Lee Do Hyun and Jung Sung Il.

In the series, Lee Do Hyun transformed into a plastic surgeon who's also her executioner, standing beside her as she extracts her revenge while Jung Sung Il plays a CEO who's drawn towards Song Hye Kyo's allure and enigma.

Part 1 took fans' excitement to a new level as Song Hye Kyo and Jung Sung Il displayed intense chemistry and sexual tension. Due to this, fans rooted for their possible love line.

Song Hye Kyo & Lee Do Hyun 'The Glory' Romance Receives Criticisms

On March 10, Netflix Korea released Part 2 of the smash hit series. Unfortunately, Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun still ended up together at the end just like how fans predicted prior to the premiere.

Fans couldn't hide their disappointment. According to them, the romance between Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun felt "forced" and doesn't look romantic at all.

Some viewers would rather focus on the revenge plot rather than the romance especially when Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun don't have chemistry at all. One fan commented, "The romance was unnecessary and underwhelming."

However, fans argued that Lee Do Hyun's character is needed in the work because Song Hye Kyo needed someone as her anchor. Meanwhile, others believe that the two should have just stayed as "revenge partners."
