After years of waiting, finally, fans will get to see Park Seo Joon and IU's movie "Dream" as the upcoming film announces its official release date.

Apart from the premiere, South Korean film studio Megabox Plus M also unveiled the first look at the highly anticipated movie.

After teasing fans with an update about Park Seo Joon and IU's movie, Megabox Plus M confirmed the premiere date of the sports-themed film.

Park Seo Joon, IU's Movie 'Dream' to Air in THIS Month

Along with the official poster showing a team gathered around a football, along with the words "Dream Soon," the upcoming movie is slated to hit the big screen on April 26!

In addition, Megabox Plus M also released a trailer, featuring the "Dream" cast, headlined by IU and Park Seo Joon.

Viewers will get to see the duo along with co-stars Kim Jong Soo, Go Chang Su, Jung Seung Gil, Lee Hyun Woo, Yang Hyun Min, Hong Wan Pyo, and Heo Joon Suk.

In addition, Kang Ha Neul is reportedly appearing in a cameo role.

What to Expect in IU & Park Seo Joon's Movie 'Dream'

Helmed and written by "Extreme Job," "Be Melodramatic" and "Alice, the Final Weapon" director Lee Byung Hun, "Dream" focuses on the aspiration and lifelong dreams of the characters.

It features Soccer star Yoon Hong Dae, who received disciplinary action. For him to bounce back from the slump, he accepted the offer to be the coach of a group of amateur players to join the annual international soccer event called the Homeless World Cup.

Meanwhile, IU takes on the role of Lee So Min, a producing director inspired to make a documentary about the dream team.

In a report, IU spoke out on her big screen comeback, and said that it was her first time headlining a feature-length film.

"I think I will remember [this movie] for a long time as I made even more memories than any other project," she said, as obtained by a media outlet.

In addition, the singer-actress sees "Dream" as a "good experience" for her to grow more in acting.

"Personally as I felt myself becoming more bright and carefree when acting as So Min," she said, adding, "I hope moviegoers will smile a lot with 'Dream' and also feel the film's warmth."

On the other hand, Park Seo Joon have mixed feelings after successfully wrapping up the production but was "very thankful" that they were able to complete the filming despite the setback brought about by the pandemic.

To recall, "Dream" initially started their shoot at the height of the COVID-19 restrictions.

The team experienced delays, which led to the extended filming period but director Lee Byung Hun was also thankful to everyone for enduring the process.

The production began in May 2020 after 2 years, they officially concluded filming in April 2022 with their last location in Hungary.
