Moon So Ri, Kim Hee Ae Team Up for Power & Politics in Netflix’s ‘Queenmaker’
K-drama queens Kim Hee Ae and Moon So Ri are back as they headline the upcoming Netflix series "Queenmaker."
After a year of waiting, the streaming giant showed a glimpse of what to expect in the much-anticipated collaboration between the two top stars.
Netflix Releases 'Queenmaker' Trailer Starring Moon So Ri & Kim Hee Ae
The first "Queenmaker" teaser is out, showing Moon So Ri and Kim Hee Ae's new characters.
In the clip, viewers get to see Kim Hee Ae's comeback to the small screen as she plays the role of Hwang Do Hee. In "Queenmaker," her character is a skilled career-woman who works at the President Identity (PI) consulting. She is also Eunsung Gropup's Strategic Planning Office; hence, failure is not in her vocabulary.
Interestingly, the Netflix original series is Kim Hee Ae's return after three years since starring in the mega-hit K-drama "The World of the Married" with Han So Hee and Park Hae Joon.
As for her co-star Moon So Ri, she takes on the role of labor rights lawyer Oh Seung Sook. Dubbed as the "crazy rhinoceros" by her colleagues, she has an instinct for dramatic moments and knows how to get the attention of influential people.
With her fierce and determination, Oh Seung Sook is a self-proclaimed Korean Lady of Justice, who fights for the rights of common people and workers.

Due to this, Hwang Do Hee offered her an opportunity to make a significant change by being the Mayor of Seoul. With her skills and knowledge in politics, she could help Oh Seung Sook transform into a leading politician and go against bigger and more influential people of society.
Like Kim Hee Ae, this is also her comeback to the small screen after starring in the 2021 K-drama "On the Verge of Insanity."
'Queenmaker' Release Date, Cast, What to Expect
Besides the first trailer, Netflix also announces the release date of Moon So Ri and Kim Hee Ae's drama.
"Queenmaker" is scheduled to release on April 14, exclusively on Netflix.
Helmed by "My Sassy Girl" and "My First Love" director Oh Jin Suk, the upcoming series also showcase a slew of talented top stars including Ryu Soo Young and Kim Tae Hoon, who will be joining as lead stars.
Adding to the list of "Queenmaker" cast is the "Jinxed at First" actor Ki Do Hoon, along with veteran actor Lee Kyung Young, Seo Yi Sook of "Start-Up" and Jin Kyung of "Dr. Romantic 3."
