‘Taxi Driver 2’ Episode 7: Rainbow Taxi Team Infiltrates Cult, Lee Je Hoon Transforms Into Shaman

Lee Je Hoon is set for another disguise as "Taxi Driver 2" episode 7 showcases a new mission for the Rainbow Taxi team.

The weekend drama is based on the webtoon "The Deluxe Taxi," which follows the story of a taxi company by day and a secret organization by night.

Headed by Chairman Jang Sung Chul, played by Kim Eui Sung, he recruited the former military officer Kim Do Gi, portrayed by Lee Je Hoon, to undergo a special mission that includes avenging the victims that the law wasn't able to protect.

Joining him are Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, and Bae Yoo Ram, who complete the Rainbow Taxi Team.

'Taxi Driver 2' Episode 7 Recap + Viewership

With a continuous rise in ratings, the action-crime K-drama experienced a slight dip in viewers, but managed to be the most-watched series in its time slot.

According to Neilsen Korea, "Taxi Driver 2" episode 7 landed a nationwide average rating of 13%, a 1.4% decrease from its previous episode, while Lee Je Hoon's drama garnered a 13.7 percent in metropolitan areas.

Despite this, the Friday and Saturday drama took first place in its time slot and became the most-watched program to air on all of Friday.

"Taxi Driver 2" episode 7 began with the Rainbow Taxi team getting a call from a woman, who is in desperate need to save her sister. The woman recounted her experience to Kim Do Gi, and mentioned that her sick sister is obsessed with a cult-like religion.

It came to a point that she opted to stop her treatments and donate all her money to the church, thinking that the church leader, whom the the followers call "father," would cure her.

As soon as the group investigated the pseudo-religion, the Rainbow Taxi team dispatched their members to infiltrate the cult. 

One of the mechanics, Park Jin Eon, disguised himself as a rookie member to get intel inside the church and also talk to the victim's sister. 

On the other hand, Kim Do Gi became a mysterious shaman.

His first mission was to make the cult leader believe in him by staging an accident. Fortunately, the leader took their bait, and thought that the shaman could help him and protect him from the possible threats around him. 

While the group got busy with their new mission, the newbie driver On Ha Joon was revealed to be the wealthy leader of a syndicate.

It turned out that the Rainbow Taxi team had been sabotaging his organization, and wanted to get back at him by knowing the ins and outs of the group.

With this, "Taxi Driver 2" unveiled the new villain of the season, raising expectations on how Kim Do Gi and the team would deal with the new antagonist.
