With the massive fame of Hallyu, whether its music, K-drama, or movies, several Korean celebrities are attracting the attention of Argentinian fans.
As obtained by a news portal, a local outlet Argentinian daily La Nacion published an article titled "There Are Stars Beyond Hollywood: 10 Korean Actors You Should Know" which features the most popular Hallyu celebrities right now.
Moreover, the outlet also mentioned that the biggest contributor to Hallyu's popularity outside Korea is the streaming platforms, particularly Netflix.
"Those who succeeded in Korea began to gain fame around the world thanks to Netflix's leading streaming," the article reads.
Song Hye Kyo, Park Eun Bin, and More Among Famous South Korean Stars in Argentina
In no particular order, the Argentinian daily La Nacion named 10 actors and actresses who have been receiving significant popularity in South America.
From top stars to award-winning celebrities, ten trending Korean celebrities include Gong Yoo, Kim Woo Bin, Park Seo Joon, Park Eun Bin, Bae Doona, Son Ye Jin, Song Hye Kyo, Lee Min Ho, Lee Sung Kyung, and Lee Jung Jae.
According to the outlet, Song Hye Kyo entered the list, all thanks to the success of her K-drama "The Glory."
Released in Netflix, the 2 part series depicts the story of a victim of bullying named Moon Dong Eun, played by Song Hye Kyo.

Interestingly, the webtoon-based series was renewed for another season, which only means that fans are looking forward to seeing Woo Young Woo's new journey.
As for Bae Doona, Lee Sung Kyung, and Son Ye Jin, the trio gained popularity through their remarkable K-dramas.
Bae Doona starred in the hit sci-fi series "The Silent Sea" while Son Ye Jin headlined the blockbuster K-drama "Crash Landing on You."
She recently made headlines after the actress gave birth to her first child with Hyun Bin months after their dreamy wedding.
Lee Sung Kyung on the other hand will reprise her role in the much-awaited sequel, "Dr. Romantic 3."
