'The Glory' Star Jung Sung Il Grateful For Song Hye Kyo

Following the succcessful conclusion of "The Glory," Jung Sung Il shared his experience working with Song Hye Kyo for the first time.

Jung Sung Il spilled the behind-the-scenes details of "The Glory" and his thoughts on his character. To recall, he played Ha Do Young, the husband of the drama's villain Park Ji Yeon. As the story progressed, he got attracted to Moon Dong Eun, portrayed by Song Hye Kyo.

Without knowing any clue about Moon Dong Eun and things going on between her and his wife, Ha Dong Young immediately established a liking to the stranger in the go club after she approached him about the game of go.

Their first encounter was quick to capture the viewers' attention due to their synergy. Jung Sung Il mentioned that Song Hye Kyo helped him a lot when filming the series. The Korean star added it was easy to approach the actress.

Jung Sung Il also used the opportunity and confessed he's a fan of his co-star, "I told her that I lived for her acting in the classic SBS drama 'That Winter, the Wind Blows."

Song Hye Kyo Exceeds Jung Sung Il's Expectations After Working With Her

During the interview, Jung Sung Il admitted that Song Hye Kyo's acting was splendid, "I was astonished by her performance. I could see how she could have had such a successful acting career. She was beyond my expectations."

The scene where Moon Dong Eun passes by Ha Dong Young at the go club immediately impressed the audience, as it exhibited sparks of their deadly chemistry.

Jung Sung Il himself seemed satisfied with the said scene, "I found the scene fantastic as well. The director handled it tastefully, and the background music was spot-on. We received a lot of compliments because the staff and creatives did an excellent job, I am truly grateful."

He humbly stated that the magnificent success of the revenge series "The Glory" made many positive changes in his life and his co-stars. In fact, the "Bad and Crazy" villain is getting more love from the public. He shared, "People recognize me even when I'm wearing a mask. I am giving out my autograph. They want me everywhere, it is odd."

As his fame continues to skyrocket, Jung Sung Il tries to level his composure under the massive popularity he's receiving.
