Lim Ji Yeon Gives Glimpse of Her Acting Journey

Lim Ji Yeon made a guest appearance on JTBC's "Newsroom," on March 26. The celebrity gained a massive following for her villain role Park Yeon Jin in Netflix's revenge drama "The Glory." Thanks to her brilliant performance, she received massive praise from the audience.

When she was asked about her passion for acting, Lim Ji Yeon shared that she has always been determined to succeed despite the setbacks she experienced along the way. The celebrity mentioned that the inferiority complex caused by being scolded fueled her and motivated her to work harder and improve.

Lim Ji Yeon confessed that even though she didn't know what to do and felt like giving up, she became persistent in not giving up. According to her, she didn't want to regret not putting enough effort into acting.

Lim Ji Yeon Gets Emotional Remembering Her Supportive Parents

In addition, "The Glory" star shared a heartwarming story about her parents' endless support for her career.

"Among all the things that I said and happened, my parents remember me saying that I never wanted to quit acting. They always say, 'Ji Yeon never said she wanted to quit, even when she came home crying."

As she remembers her parents and their unwavering support, Lim Ji Yeon shed tears during the broadcast.

The "Money Heist Korea" star added that whenever she talked about her past journey, she always ended up crying even during her previous interviews.

The award-winning actress graduated from the Korea National University of Arts and made her debut in 2014 in the movie "Obsessed," in which she immediately bagged two Best Actress trophies at the 34th Korean Association of Film Critics Awards and 51st Daejong Film Awards.

Lim Ji Yeon's career changed after she starred in the hit drama "The Glory." The massive support she's earning today is proof of how fiercely she fought for her dreams to make it big in the industry.

Furthermore, Lim Ji Yeon is returning to the small screen with the new drama "National Death Penalty Vote," which is scheduled to release anytime soon this 2023 on SBS. She will work with Park Hae Jin and Park Sung Woong.
