Fans have gone haywire as "The Glory" writer Kim Eun Sook addresses the countless theories about Song Hye Kyo's love line in the show!
On Monday, March 26, Netflix Korea uploaded a short commentary for "The Glory," where the cast and screenwriter of the series expressed their thoughts and opinions on the show.
Kim Eun Sook opened about the divided interpretation of Song Hye Kyo and Jung Sung Il's characters in the scene where the latter refused to leave Lim Ji Yeon despite her past.
In the series, Song Hye Kyo and Jung Sung Il boasted intense synergy and sexual tension that hooked viewers-the two also gained massive following for their romance. Unfortunately, the two didn't end up together.

The ending polarized the viewers but Kim Eun Sook defended that romance between the two characters was inevitable but it's up to them how they interpret their own feelings.
"At first, he doesn't know what he truly feels for Song Hye Kyo's character," Kim Eun Sook stated. "However, he wants to see her again that's why he decides to be a tool for her in her thoroughly planned revenge."
It was clear that the plan will only be effective if he stays as Lim Ji Yeon's husband while Song Hye Kyo slowly strips her off her glory; he walks out of her life as a gentleman which also serves as their closure.
Viewers praised Kim Eun Sook for her well-written work and congratulated her for the success of "The Glory."

All thanks to the drama's glorious success and riveting narrative, the demand for a new season skyrockets!
With many releases receiving the nod to produce a new season, fans of "The Glory" are curious whether the revenge work is also renewed for a new production.
Kim Eun Sook shared that the idea of Part 3 was brought up to the discussion table once but was never talked about thoroughly with the production team, clarifying that there's no definite decision for a Part 3.
However, the producers are not closing the door for the drama entirely, considering its high demand and increasing popularity.
