Before "Squid Game" and "All of Us Are Dead" the K-zombie movie "Train to Busan" took the world by storm. 

Global viewers were stunned to witness a unique storyline along with an amazing cast lineup. 

Fans saw Gong Yoo in a different light when he portrayed the role of the dotting father Seok Woo who is willing to sacrifice himself for his daughter, Seo Soo Ahn amid the zombie outbreak. 

Helmed by "Peninsula" and "Jung_E" director Yeon Sang Ho, to post apocalyptic film set the bar high for upcoming zombie movies. 

Seven years after the movie premiered, let's take a look at the "Train to Busan" cast along with their current and upcoming projects this 2023.

Viewers cried buckets in the last scene of "Train to Busan" after Gong Yoo's character made a tough decision just to save his daughter. 

Seven years later, the South Korean heartthrob is still very much active in showbiz. 

In fact, the 43-year-old actor might be returning to the small screen with an interesting team-up.

After "The Silent Sea" which premiered in 2021, Gong Yoo is courted to headline a new romance drama titled "Trunk."

The Netflix original series also selected Seo Hyun Jin as the lead star.

According to an outlet, the two are "positively reviewing their offers."

In addition, Gong Yoo might also reprise his role in "Squid Game 2" as teased by director Hwang Dong Hyuk in his previous interview.

The child actress is all grown up now and continues to make waves in K-drama. 

She first gained the attention of the public after playing Gong Yoo's daughter in "Train to Busan."

However, she also appeared in two seasons of "Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist" together with Kim Min Jae and Kim Hyang Gi.

She took the role of Ip Bun, Kim Sang Kyung's daughter. In addition, viewers might also recognize Kim Su An in "Reflection of You" as she played Ahn Ri Sa, Go Hyun Jung, and Choi Won Young's daughter.

The Korean-American actor lead 2022 with an outstanding performance after his action movie "The Roundup" reached over 9 million moviegoers.

In addition, the sequel is said to be the first movie to hit the milestone since 2019, beating the Oscar-winning movie "Parasite."

With this, the mission of Detective Ma Suk Do continue as the third and fourth installment of "The Outlaws" gets green-lit.

In an update back in November 2022, "The Outlaws 3" successfully wrapped up its filming and would feature new villains. 

Following the third sequel, "The Outlaws 4" have started its script reading along with a star-studded lineup. 

It includes Kim Moo Yeol and Lee Dong Hwi who will play the new antagonist.
