Since there are a number of Korean movies to be released this year, these stars Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young, and more are predicted to have their red carpet walk at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. 

K-Stars Predicted to Make Red Carpet Debut at This Year's Cannes Film Festival

The 76th Cannes International Film Festival, that people around the world are looking forward to, is set to announce its official invitation this April 13 under the chairmanship of Iris Knobloch and Thierry Premau and start preparing in earnest.

According to the news released on April 7, the prestigious festival will announce all the names of stars and works that are invited to this year's celebration.

At the 75th Cannes International Film Festival in 2022, "Broker" and "Decision to Leave" were invited to compete, while "Hunt" was invited to the midnight screening. In particular, Korean films heated France more than ever, as Song Kang Ho bagged the Best Actor Award for the first time for the film "Broker," and Park Chan Wook won the Best Director Award for "Decision to Leave."

As the glory of Korean films has been more brilliant than ever, filmmakers are also paying attention to this year's Cannes. Following IU, Lee Joo Young, and Kang Dong Won, many fans are now looking forward to who among the Korean actors and actresses will make their red carpet debut this 2023.

His presence and influence as an actor are getting bigger. After starring in multiple rom-com series, Park Seo Joon's biggest break outside his home country might happen this year. Aside from his upcoming Hollywood debut in the American movie "The Marvels," the heartthrob has a big chance to slay the red carpet for this year's Cannes Film Festival.

His movie "Concrete Utopia" is already getting a lot of attention from the international audience.

This famous actress, who is about to make her back-to-back comeback on screen is also predicted to have her first attendance at Cannes. She is one of the leads in the disaster-thriller movie "Concrete Utopia," which is gaining high expectations from the crowd. If given the chance to make it there, Park Bo Young will walk the red carpet with co-stars Park Seo Joon and Lee Byung Hun.

Another anticipated work is Kim Sung Hoon's film "The Kidnap." It is based on a true story of people who tried to solve the problem when a diplomat was kidnapped in Beirut, Lebanon in 1986. "Princess Hours" actor Ju Ji Hoon and Jung Woo Ha, who stars in the movie, might also receive an invitation to this year's international film festival. 

Lee Je Hoon and Koo Kyo Hwan

Lee Je Hoon and Koo Kyo Hwan are also receiving anticipation as their movie "Run Away," also known as "Escape," can be screened at the famous film festival. It depicts the escape and chase of the North Korean soldier, who dreams of having a normal life outside the military, and the phenomenon of a security officer who has to stop him from escaping.
