Honey Lee talks about her comeback movie "Killing Romance" and reveals RAIN's amazing participation.
The actress graced the film's press conference along with director Lee Won Seok and fellow lead star Lee Sun Kyun. The beauty queen-turned-actress recalls her experience filming the movie and thoughts about doing various genres.
Honey Lee on Doing Rom Com Movies
The "Killing Romance" cast spoke about the upcoming film and what made it different from other movies.
Described as a romantic comedy film with a hint of thriller and musical genre, it depicts the story of a retired actress named Hwang Yeo Rae, played by Honey Lee, who married an island chaebol, Jo Na Dan, portrayed by Lee Sun Kyun.
The couple then gets caught up in a whirlwind fate after meeting a struggling student, Bum Woo, played by Gong Myung.
Interestingly, he is also a die-hard fan of Yeo Rae and is even a member of her fans club.
With the unique concept of the movie, Honey Lee said she didn't experience a big adjustment doing rom-com and "acted the same way even though it's a comedy."
She also added that the comedy genre "should be done with sincerity" as it comes with great "timing, sense, and various other factors need to come together, which makes comedy difficult."
Viewers might often see the former beauty queen join the action, and thriller K-dramas but she sure knows how to entertain the audience with her comedic act.

Moreover, she also shared her thoughts about being versatile, pointing out that the most important factor that an actor needs to have is "sincerity."
"As an actor, it's something that has to be done genuinely, not fake," she said, adding "comedy shouldn't be done as a joke."
Honey Lee Express Gratitude Towards RAIN
Among Honey Lee's celebrity friends are the power couple RAIN and Kim Tae Hee.
She knew the idol-singer due to her close friendship with the Hallyu actress.
Interestingly, the "Killing Romance" star revealed an interesting way of how Kim Tae Hee's husband showed his support for her comeback movie.
One of the upcoming film's soundtracks is "Yeo Raeism" sung by RAIN. it was a combination of his hit tracks "Rainism" and Honey Lee's character in the movie.
The actress then revealed that the idol-actor accepted the offer without pay.
"Rain gladly recorded it (Yeo Raeism) without payment," she said, as obtained by a news portal, adding how "grateful" she is for his support.
On the other hand, "Killing Romance" is scheduled to hit the big screen on April 14.
This is also Honey Lee's first movie project after she gave birth to her first child.
