Lee Dong Wook's first character photos as a nine-tailed fox have been released!
On April 18, broadcast network tvN dropped the actor's transformation into a gumiho, much to fans' excitement.
In "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938," Lee Dong Wook plays the role of Lee Yeon, a nine-tailed fox who is transported back in the big year of 1938 due to an unknown incident, leaving his precious people and loved ones behind.
The photos capture Lee Yeon's extremely happy life as a human as he stands before an ice cream shop, waiting in line for his favorite mint chocolate gelato.
He lives a normal life as a human before the catastrophic summoning occurred. In the other photo, Lee Yeon sits across Kim Jung Nan at the Afterlife Immigration Office with evident confusion.
The bewilderment that is present in his face heralds a turbulent life as he meets his younger brother Lee Rang and former Western Mountain God Ryu Hong Joo, played by Kim Bum and Kim So Yeon, respectively.

In an exclusive interview with the broadcast network tvN, the actor expressed his happiness to be able to play Lee Yeon once again.
According to the actor, he is nothing but grateful to appear in a work that he worked hard on with the director and the production unit since the first season.
Lee Dong Wook guarantees that "Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938" brings an upgraded touch to its prequel, doubling the fans' expectation.
The South Korean star says that "change" is the main point in the series that fans should watch for. Lee Dong Wook reasoned, "Times have changed so there will be changes in behavior and other things, too."
He added, "Lee Yeon protected the ones he loved in Season 1. This time, he will find a new glory to protect and preserve so don't miss it."
