Uzu Rocks Finally Agrees to Terminate Song Ji Hyo's Contract
Based on a news cited by a media outlet on April 24, Song Ji Hyo had notified her agency Uzu Rocks of the termination of her exclusive contract. She was already preparing to file a lawsuit to confirm the non-existence of her contract as the actress decided to leave the company on March 14.
In response to the news about Song Ji Hyo's contract, the agency already decided to terminate it and also released an apology to the public.
According to them, "We acknowledge that we have agreed to terminate Song Ji Hyo's exclusive contract. We sincerely apologize for not giving enough attention to the important details required to support our artists. This was due to our rapid expansion in the entertainment industry during the early stages of our company's growth."
The label added on their statement that they also apologize for causing concern to people who are supporting their business. They also expressed their gratitude to Song Ji Hyo for her dedication. Uzu Rocks was honored to work with the actress, who has been loved in various fields of the entertainment industry.
To recall, Uzu Rocks was embroiled in suspicions of delaying payments of employees and artists due to financial difficulties.
As of this writing, Song Ji Hyo has not released a statement yet about her departure from her former agency.
The "Emergency Couple" lead star signed an exclusive contract with Uzu Rocks last October 2022 and confirmed that she was already labelmates with "Running Man" co-star Ji Suk Jin, B.A.P Zelo, Koyote's Bbaek Ga, and Oh Man Seok.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing issue at the company, Song Ji Hyo has decided to leave the label less than a year after signing a contract.
