Jang Geun Suk On His Style And Image Change In “Pretty Man”, “The Drama Isn’t Dokgo Matte’s Runway”

Being a beautiful man sure does have its downsides, especially when you have to go to the salon three times a day.

Actor Jang Geun Suk is currently portraying the role of Dokgo Matte in the drama "Pretty Man", and his character is someone who has an exquisite taste in fashion and style, especially since he fits his image to the woman he is trying to win over. However, he expressed, "The drama "Pretty Man" isn't Dokgo Matte's fashion runway."

As an actor, he hopes that the viewers would focus on the story rather than the clothes he's wearing. He explained, "In order to show the growth of Dokgo Matte as a character, the change of clothes and hairstyle is necessary. It's something that cannot be ignored with growth."

About his hairstyles as Dokgo Matte, he shared, "In a drama, the main lead usually wouldn't have hair style changes, but it's different with Dokgo Matte. There is one time when I had to film two episodes in a day, so I had to go to the salon three times to transform into my character. I cut my hair for the story, but it's possible that it would be shorter in the future."

He also revealed, "If we buy the clothes, it would look plain and usual, so we make the clothes from scratch and buy pieces to compliment the style."
