Power couple Lee Jong Suk and IU are celebrating Children's Day in a most heartwarming way.
As May 5 marks a special occasion in South Korea, a slew of known individuals, including celebrities, make meaningful donations to celebrate the occasion.
Here's How IU and Lee Jong Suk Celebrate Children's Day
According to a media outlet, Lee Jong Suk's agency, High Zium Studio, told Iligan Sports that the actor has donated 100 million won to the Children's Hospital of Asan Medical Center in Seoul.
The money will be used to pay for the treatment of pediatric patients from low-income families.
In addition, the label also shared that the donation has meaning for Lee Jong Suk because the proceeds of his bazaar went for this cause.
Besides helping the Children's Hospital in Seoul, the actor also extended help to the Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association by donating 100 million won.
This is to help residents affected by forest fires in 2022.
Just like the "Big Mouth" star, Lee Jong Suk's girlfriend IU also gave a heartfelt gift to the students of Miral School, a special school for children with disabilities.
According to the same outlet, the singer-actress prepared yummy treats like pizza, drinks, and rice cakes for lunch for all the students and teachers.
To recall, the top star lent her voice for Miral School's song along with composer Jehwi of "Through the Night."
Interestingly, this is not the first time that the couple has participated in meaningful donations during Children's Day. In fact, IU often celebrates her birthday by giving back to the community.

The same goes for Lee Jong Suk, who also made an end-of-year donation in 2021 by participating in the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation.

After Dispatch Korea revealed dating rumors about IU and Lee Jong Suk, which were confirmed by the couple's respective agencies, the duo surprised the public as they proudly talked about their relationship.
In her interview for the new movie "Dream," IU, the singer-actress, is open to answering questions about her relationship with Lee Jong Suk.
A media outlet also cited that she "naturally referred to Lee Jong Suk as a "boyfriend" and looks comfortable answering questions about him.
Moreover, IU also revealed that she gets acting advice from the "Romance Is a Bonus Book" star since he has more experience in the field.
As for IU's boyfriend, Lee Jong Suk opened up about his relationship with the "Hotel Del Luna" star.
In his interview with Esquire Korea, he described IU as someone whom he sees as the source of strength in his life.
