No More Good Boy? Kim Seon Ho Shows Off His Ruthlessness in ‘The Childe’
From his "good boy" image, Kim Seon Ho is set to showcase his diversity as an actor as he plays a mysterious character in the upcoming movie "The Childe."
Following the announcement of the film's premiere date, viewers are excited to see the South Korean hearthrob in a different light.
Helmed and written by Park Hoon Jung for "V.I.P.," "Night in Paradise," and "The Witch" parts 1 and 2, the forthcoming action drama film depicts the interesting story of a Filipino-Korean teenager who gets caught up in a chaotic incident.
'The Childe' Showcases Kim Seon Ho's Villain Character
As "The Childe" nears its premiere date, Next Entertainment World (NEW), the movie distributor, continues to tease viewers with intriguing still cuts and a trailer of the upcoming movie.
For its second trailer, it showcased a sneak peek of Kim Seon Ho's character, along with Kang Tae Joo, Go Ah Ra, and Kim Kang Woo.
Playing the role of Gwi Gong Ya, a.k.a. the "Nobleman," he embarks on a special mission to find Marco, played by rookie actor Kang Tae Joo. He is a boxer who traveled from the Philippines to South Korea to find his long-lost father.
Unfortunately, he gets involved in an illegal situation. This is where he becomes the target of the "Nobleman," Han Yi Sa, portrayed by Kim Kang Woo, and the mysterious Yun Ju, played by Go Ara.
As seen in the second trailer, Kim Seon Ho's character is looking dapper as he waits for his target.
The next scene features Marco doing his thing at the boxing ring and is being watched by the "Nobleman."

Hinting at the "Nobleman" being an "enemy or friend," Marco is seen desperately running away from the three individuals. The scene surely depicts an unpredictable story, sparking curiosity among the viewers.
'The Childe' Release Date
Creating excitement for viewers, Kim Seon Ho's new movie "The Childe" is set to hit the big screen on June 21 with a total of almost two hours of running time.
According to ScreenDaily, the upcoming movie will also premiere in North America.
In addition, fans from Asian countries like Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, East Timor, Hong Kong, and Macau will get to see the action drama film.
'The Childe' Cast Dishes on Their Experience Filming the Movie
Besides "The Childe" being Kim Seon Ho's debut movie, this will also be rookie actor Kang Tae Joo's first big screen project.
As mentioned in a report, he was able to surpass 2,000 applicants for the role.
Meanwhile, as part of his preparation, he "practiced boxing with boxers who train for the national competition."
On the other hand, director Park Hoon Jung hints that "The Childe" will showcase a faster-paced storyline than his previous projects.
